Which kinds of puts RT in perspective. The idea that it should score more highly than CW is laughable. did you mean to say, more highly than WS?
eh. to me, the RT scores just mean 10% of folks wouldn't recommend WS to their friend, and 9% wouldn't recommend CW to a friend. some people just don't like godzilla movies, no matter how well they're made. it's perfectly understandable, there are structural and aesthetic details that are inherent to the genre that rub people the wrong way. comic book movies are the same way. this number seems about right to me, and the difference between RT scores of WS and CW is just statistical noise.
it's cool to have the films up there, but where the real perspective is needed is how RT "picks" what goes in these lists. i.e., they don't pick anything, they just go by what scores highest. i didn't link, for instance, the RT list for top MCU films, just 'cuz they went by the RT score (and i'm sorry, first avenger is WAY better than captain marvel). i don't know why they put it in their editorial section--an editorial suggests they are opining something, but no one is doing any opining in their lists.

what IS laughable is having nolan's dark knight movies in that top ten list. he may be a very fine drama director, but he is NOT a good action director, and those films are NOT good action movies. there are literally scenes in them where goons fly off without being hit by batman! super sloppy. i think nolan has actually gone on record stating he doesn't like filming action scenes. WS struck a cord with many comics fans precisely because cap moved the way they felt batman should. nolan's batman just used MMA "ground and pound." if i wanna watch MMA "ground and pound," i'll watch the freakin' MMA!

Oops, shit. I did mean that. I've changed it now. I meant it's odd to my that Civil War was rated higher than The Winter Soldier.

And I think that CA3 could be more perfect than now if Disney was bolder~
