Can't totally decide the expression on Chris's face here.

I just returned home from seeing this wonderful film. I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it on its own merits - not just because Chris was the main draw for me. Speaking of I thought he played Frank with his usual depth and sincerity that I've come to expect. You could feel his pain at times! McKenna was great also. And I concur they have great chemistry together on screen and of course off screen as we all have seen through the countless interviews. It is only playing right now for a couple of days here in my hometown of Springfield and supposedly will be gone by the weekend. I hope they release it to a wider pool of theaters. I encourage all Evans fans to indulge in seeing him in a very different role (which I think he nails) and everyone else just because it is a good little heartfelt movie.
My 2 cents.

RT has inched up to 66%. It could be around 69/70% when/if it adds some recent reviews from major city papers and magazines (TIME, New Orleans, Salt Lake, Fresno, Minneapolis, Tampa etc). Though praise for his performance is pretty unilateral even in the mixed or negative reviews this one from Citybeat is particularly good discussing Chris's performance as Frank though it has major spoilers. This one from TIME is a bit more drooly time.com/4728297/gifted-chris-evans-review/

LOVE THIS
Ask any guy who is around especially little kids a lot and he will tell you that getting jumped on the stomach is a regular thing!! Worse is their talent for heading you or kicking you in the nuts. Been there so many times. When she was doing the climbing frame scene I wondered how many times Chris carried on bravely as she innocently plonked her foot in his nuts!
