PLAYING IT COOL Chris Evans plays the narrator, a man who writes scripts/screenplays for movies, but has never been in love. When he's offered a chance at doing an action movie if only he'll do a re-write on a rom-com, he begins to research and also finds himself drawn to a woman whom he meets at a charity event. The film also shows the friendships he has with several other writers, his grandfather, friends, and his struggle to come to terms with how he just might be falling in love with a woman who is already spoken for. It also stars Anthony Mackie (of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR), Topher Grace (of SPIDER-MAN 3), Ioan Gruffudd (of FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER), Michelle Monaghan, Aubrey Plaza, and Luke Wilson. This is one of those movies I put on when I've got the house to myself or when I'm in a hotel alone, and I can just indulge. I'm not a big rom-com fan, so the big selling points of this movie had been Chris Evans, A. Mackie, and the tone of it. And then I watched it, and it was freaky how much like my own group of friends, his writer-group was. Most of my friends are writers, I'm an aspiring writer, and we all often talk about what we write, what we read, what goes on in our lives, and we sound like the group in the movie.
There are also some really interesting thoughts and ideas in this movie. But by far, my favorite is his take on LOVE IN A TIME OF CHOLERA. That there are some people who are so important, that if you floated off on a boat for the rest of your life, these people were the ones you had to have on that boat with you. I think that's a good way to look at your life and everyone in it.

As far as I am aware, this is the only film of Twinkletoes actually tap dancing and it's only a couple of seconds in the film. Anyone know of any others?
