That makes more sense. Where have you seen that he's now playing his son. Do you have a reference I could use. Picap, no. I didn't realise that Jaeden Martell was Me aged 6!! I believe she meant playing his son in Defending JacobYes that's right! He's playing Jacob Barber.

Hadn't realised that about Jaeden Martell. Interesting. I am hugely stoked about this film now I've seen the trailer. Chris is outstanding and is definitely the star of the trailer! Great to see him in a movie that will bring his versatility to a broader audience.

I didn't dislike the trailer, but i wasn't impressed either. Maybe my expectations were very high looking at the cast. I will definitely see this and i'm curios about the second trailer, which judging by the release date of the film, i think it will drop somewhere in september. Chris was the star of the trailer, that's for sure.

jaeden is actually best known for being one of the main protagonists in "it." i was wondering why he looked so familiar.

That's a shame. I really loved it. It seems to be in the old English tradition of Agatha Christie whodunnits. Lots of outrageous characters, a bit camp and very tongue in cheek.

Recent interview with Jaeden Martell. I didn't know where to post this since he talks a bit about Knives Out, Playing it Cool AND Defending Jacob. If you want to watch a specific portion, here it is:
40:05 mark - About Knives Out 41:30 - About Playing It Cool 42:10 - About Defending Jacob

Thanks. Interesting, he's playing Michael Shannon's son in this. Wiki has Shannon listed as the husband of Curtis but I think that's wrong. He's 44 and even for Hollywood it's a push to have him as Chris's father. Don Johnson is far more likely the husband of Curtis unless it's a step father situation.

Yeah, becoming clear that the wiki list needs amending.

I saw on Tumblr and twitter, where some fans were joking that Chris Evans ought to get an Oscar just for the scene in the trailer where he seems to be afraid of dogs/the dogs hate him. Since we all know what really happens when that man comes within 50ft of a dog, in real life.

Well that family tree explains things.
Jacob is playing Chris's cousin. Jamie Lee and Don Johnson play his parents. Michael Shannon is his uncle and Jacob's father Toni Colette is his aunt by marriage to another Thrombey - deceased - and mother to another cousin played by Langford
