‘Knives Out’: Riki Lindhome, Edi Patterson, Raúl Castillo Join Rian Johnson Movie
EXCLUSIVE: Riki Lindhome (Another Period), Edi Patteron (Troupe Zero) and Raúl Castillo (Seven Seconds) are the latest cast to join Rian Johnson’s starry detective movie Knives Out.
Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, Ana de Armas, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Don Johnson and Jaeden Lieberher have already been set for the buzzy pic, which is now in production in Boston.
Plot details are still under wraps on the the film. As we previously revealed the film is understood to be a modern day murder mystery in the classic whodunit style. I hear Craig’s detective character is understood to be called Benoit Blanc, which makes him sound like a Frenchman, though that is unconfirmed.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Johnson has scripted and will direct. He is also producing with regular partner Ram Bergman. MRC picked the film up for big money out of Toronto.
Vice Principals and The Last O.G. actress Patterson has Amazon movie Troupe Zero and HBO series The Righteous Gemstones coming up. Lindhome is best known for The Last House On The Left, The Lego Batman Movie and ongoing comedy series Another Period. Castillo has recently played in Netflix series Seven Seconds and Atypical.
Lindhome is repped by 3Arts, WME and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis. Patterson is repped by CAA. Castillo is repped by CAA and Gasparro Management.
I read an article a couple of weeks ago that stated Rian Johnson was a huge fan of Agatha Christie. If any of you know the works of Agatha Christie, expect it to be just like the author's novels and movies, like Murder on the Orient Express. Maybe that will help you with an educated guess as to what the plot might entail. (That or Ten Little Indians plot.)

I've seen that said before, and all the information on IMDB just says 'Described as a modern murder mystery in a classic whodunit style.'
I hope Chris is the villain in this one!

No, they've not been deleted, but as it was an Instagram story, they're only visible for 24 hours.
She posted again at the start of the week saying she was half way through filming. I don't know if that's the same for Mr Evans, and I know they're due over in the UK to finish filming.

She was filming this week while Chris was at Disneyland. So not the same schedule - few actors ever are even with smaller casts.
She's posted on her IG story again - this is from yesterday. As much as I hate those stupid Snapchat filters, it's cute!!

The two actors were seen on set of the Rian Johnson film on Monday morning (December 3) in Waltham, Mass.
At one point, it appeared as if Chris‘ character was being searched and arrested by undercover police! The plot of the movie has not yet been disclosed, though we do know that the film will star Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Katherine Langford, Lakeith Stanfield, Ana de Armas, and
NIGHT OUT FROM ‘KNIVES OUT’: Actor Michael Shannon was spotted outside of The Palm restaurant on Friday night. We’re told that the star, who’s known for his work in movies like “The Shape of Water” and “Midnight Special,” is apparently in town to film “Knives Out.” A couple of Shannon’s castmates from the current project — specifically Daniel Craig and Lakeith Stanfield — were also caught shooting a fire scene for the flick out in Marlboro on Thursday. Smoke could be seen coming from the city’s old Registry of Motor Vehicles building on Maple Street, where Craig was also seen posing for pictures with a group of local firefighters between takes. Other reported filming locations have included Canton, Maynard, Natick, Waltham and Wellesley. The precise plot for “Knives Out” remains hush-hush, but it’s been dubbed a “modern murder mystery in a classic whodunit style,” per IMDB. Slated for a 2019 release, the movie is being both written and directed by Rian Johnson, and will also star Jamie Lee Curtis and Boston’s own Chris Evans.
