Eh...not gonna lie, I'm not sold on this one yet because half the cast (Wasikowska and Pattinson) bug me and have done so in most movies I've seen. But I'll watch it for Chris and we'll see.
As for the "pretty face" thing, that's a very shallow way of looking at it and one that's almost amused me. I mean, I don't even think Chris is all that attractive. No, no, no, hear me out here, don't beat me yet! I think he's attractive, and so do most of you. But he's not conventionally attractive. Certainly not the kind of pretty face that usually sparks comments and opinions like that. The only thing he's got going on in support of this theory is his well-trained body. And these days, that's basically just a tool for actors in action movies. Fit, muscles bodies are all over Hollywood. I mean, I get that some of his movies may paint that picture, but still. It's a pretty funny idea to think Chris is anything but a skilled method actor.

Oh, come on, picap. We've been through this before. You know it's all heavy make-up and prosthetics. In real life he's a cross between Shrek and Quasimodo. Few people know so just keep it a secret among ourselves, yeah?
To be serious for a moment. I've long made a point of not being one of those guys who pretend that they can't see if a man is attractive or not just in case someone thinks they're gay. 🙄 But I've discovered from doing the Twitter thing that I actually can't put myself in women's heads as easily as I thought I could. Watching the number of 'likes' that pictures I post of him get I've come to realise the ones where I think he looks good are not the ones which are the most popular among followers. Conversely, some of his most popular photoshoots among women I really don't like at all. Hardly dare say which ones in case I get hate mail. Point being .... shit, what point was I trying to make? Oh, yeah. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I do agree with what someone (female and straight) said to me recently. That the main reason that women are attracted to Chris is that he has a really kind face and kindness is hugely attractive. I would say that partly explains his popularity among straight men too. That plus the fact he's good looking but in a masculine way. Don't ask me to explain what I mean by 'in a masculine way'.

He's attractive but not in that 'smooth and pretty face' kinda way. He looks interesting, like someone who has a story to tell.

Mia Goth joins Robert Pattinson in The Devil All The Time Robert Pattinson will be working with Mia Goth again, in February, 2019. Goth is doing promotion for Suspiria (and Rob attended the Suspiria premiere after party a few nights ago in Los Angeles), and in an interview with Front Row Features, she explained that she’s been cast in The Devil All The Time for director Anthony Campos. Mia and Rob were both in Claire Denis’ High Life. Rob has been attached to The Devil All The Time for over a year, and Chris Evans was cast a few weeks ago. From what I understand, Mia will not be having much interaction with Rob’s character. Here’s what Mia had to say: Q: What are you working on now? Goth:... I have a movie called “The Devil All the Time” that’s shooting in February. It’s based on a novel. It’s about a set of characters who live in rural Ohio in the late ‘60s. They don’t know each other very well, but the only thing that links these lives together is the fact that they’re all deeply religious, and it drives them to do fanatical things in the name of their god. I think Mia Goth will be in it (The Devil All The Time) and she’s excited about it as well.” - Robert Pattinson. pattinson360.tumblr.com/post/179475338592/mia-goth-joins-robert-pattinson-in-the-devil-allfrontrowfeatures.com/features/film-features/exclusive-mia-goth-witchs-brew-dance-suspiria-24681.htmlso confused Mia Wasikowska or Mia Goth

IMDB doesn't have any further updates on the cast list.
And considering Knives Out is currently shooting and they're still announcing the cast, I'm not surprised this hasn't been updated yet!

Both Mias - if this is a recent interview. Goth also mentions the earlier noted Feb start date which might now looks to be later. We'll see.

So according to Production Weekly 'The Devil All The Time' will begin filming from 19th February till 9th April in Birmingham, Alabama.
I know Chris has a small role in this, but filming is almost exactly the same time as Greenland.. Going to be interesting how they schedule this one.

That plus the fact he's good looking but in a masculine way. Don't ask me to explain what I mean by 'in a masculine way'. Honestly, among the straight girls I know of who like what they see when looking at pictures/video of Chris Evans... it varies a bit. Sure, plenty enjoy him shirtless in the first CAP movie or in the muscle shirt from CAP2, others talk about how great that chiseled jawline is (even Joss Whedon seemed to be crushin' a bit on that), but some I know actually find they like him despite him not being their type, and such. I happen to think one of the most-attractive points for him was PUSH and again with BEFORE WE GO. But in PUSH he wasn't as built as he got for CAP and he wasn't as 2% body fat looking as in his FAN4 days, and in BWG he got to be in snuggly robes/sweaters with the beard/etc., making him look a bit more like a regular guy (albeit one who has a gym membership he actually uses) and less like a superhero. But honestly, I think what is most attractive about him isn't anything to do with how symmetrical his features are or anything like that. I think a lot of it is that he isn't perfect and he doesn't pretend to be. He posts all about his pup like a total Dog Dad. He nerds out over NASA. He trolls trump. He makes videos to raise awareness of veteran mental health or to cheer up a kid fighting for their life in a cancer ward. He calls himself an f***ing meatball and admits to both crying easily and also busts his own chops. He pranks his costars, is a mama's boy (in a good way), he likes hanging out with the same guys he grew up with, he bought his mom a house, he loves all things Disney, he takes care of his nephews/nieces... He could be your neighbor, or a guy you knew in high school, who just happens to have a fabulous job in LA. I think a lot of his appeal is in that he doesn't come across like a movie star, he seems like just regular people, you know? PS: You also gotta love a guy who, upon winning an award, jokes that 60% of the votes were just his mom and her buddies voting for him, then thanks the other 40% of voters for taking the time to vote for him. I can name maybe 4 other actors, tops, who make that kind of joke about winning an award.

Well, i have mixed feelings about this distribution news. First of all, i don't have Netflix and i don't like the fact that they buy movies that should be in theaters. On the other hand, i'm glad that we'll get to see the movie much early, because i think this indie would have been hard to sell (with all the talent involved) to a major distributor based on the plot, so who knows after its premiere at film festivals, how long we should have waited to see it.
