Late edit. The episode can be seen in a later post. Here is the link chris-evans.boards.net/post/5485
Our American friends will have to explain this to me but Chris is to appear some time this season on Jay Leno's Garage. Maybe that was his quick trip to LA a few weeks ago.

I've heard that was the reason for the LA Trip.
I know that this IS shown here in the UK, Dave shows it, but not sure if they do new episodes or not.
However it does seem to be on YouTube, so hopefully we'll be able to see it too!

Hello everyone,
you know by chance, if this TV Show will be shown in Germany ? Or do I also have to rely on youtube ?
And, just out of interest and pure curiosity - why quick trip to L.A. ? Doesn't he live (partly) in L.A. ?
Sorry, if this too curious, it's my nature, too curious in every way ;-)
Wishing you all a wonderful Saturday evening,
love and enjoy life, it's so short.

I have no idea if it'll be shown in Germany or not I'm afraid. It looks like it's available on the CNBC website, and that doesn't seem to be geoblocked, so hopefully you'll be able to see it. You may just have to wait a couple of weeks to find out!
Yes, Chris does own a house in LA, and does spend time there, but I believe he's usually there when he's working, preferring to spend most of his time at home in Concord, or at his mom's house in Sudbury.
Don't worry about the questions, it's fine!

Very nice
He went to the same place as RDJ for the custom rebuild (maybe on his recommendation)

I am really intrigued by this. Chris has said on more than one occasion that he's not a 'car guy'. I can totally understand wanting this car. It's amazing. I really love classic American cars.

If one was going to go gaga over cars the classics are the way to go. The designs are so much more interesting than the cookie cutter one we now get. Beautiful cars. Reading more on this build, RDJ's Ford Mustang and others it's fascinating how much is a reconstruction. Not just the engines (or tech updates like a navigation system) but they use carbon fibre for the rebuilds which make them stronger but also lighter (about 1 thousand pounds) so they're more fuel efficient.

Thanks for the update. I've checked the CNBC website and there is a page for Jay Leno's Garage www.cnbc.com/jay-lenos-garage/They seem to keep a library of the programmes which is good news. The bad news is they're not available outside the US. With a US IP address you can watch the clips but if you try to watch any of the full episodes you have to choose your service provider and then log in with your account details.
