Sunshine is my favorite of all Chris' films...well it's neck and neck with Knives Out, and now Defending Jacob too. But it's still #1 for me because it was the first movie of his that I ever saw. I watched it back in 2008 after I watched 28 Days Later and really loved it, so I wanted to check out more Danny Boyle movies. I admit at the time I was more interested in Cillian Murphy because I had been a little bit taken with him since Batman Begins lol, so I didn't pay much attention to Chris. I saw both Scott Pilgrim and The Losers when they came out, but still didn't pay attention to Chris. Then when I saw The First Avenger, I spent most of the movie thinking "okay who IS that guy? I know I've seen him before." Looked him up on IMDb and realized OH IT'S THE GUY FROM SUNSHINE! XD
If this is the wrong thread for it let me know and I'll delete and repost where I should, but I just wanted to share a quick little story and some images too if that's alright. At ACE Seattle last year I had Chris sign my Sunshine bluray liner at the Saturday autograph session. When I handed it to him, he said "oh wow!" in surprise. I told him it was the first film of his I'd seen a decade ago and he said "Good!" very emphatically and impressed (I think I was one of maybe a dozen people who brought nothing Captain America for him to sign both days, I had him sign my Before We Go liner on Sunday) I can't figure out how to embed a gif so here's a direct link to the footage I got: gph.is/g/EqXjMMx
Then I told him "I wish Dodger was here," he gave me a cute smile and said "me too." I lifted up my phone a little higher which had a photo of my dog on the back of the case and said "This is my little guy, by the way." Chris looked at it for a second and smiled and said "oh cute!": gph.is/g/4DklRKw
And that was the end of my first autograph signing. I made gifs because I'm self-conscious about my nervous/excited voice in the video lol. Sorry for the ugly watermarks (Alhena591 is my handle for my primary social media accounts) I don't usually share things publicly and if I do they're watermarked now. I had a lot of photos that I took myself of a former celebrity interest which were reposted without credit, which was very irritating. I spend a lot of money and time traveling to things like conventions and concerts for my faves, so I'm sure you all understand wanting to at least have credit for my own footage. I don't mind these being on the forum obviously, but please don't repost anywhere else.
