So, guys. On a scale of 1 to 10 how excited are we? I'm pushing 12 at the moment. I am so wanting to hear how Chris is feeling. The audience sounded enthusiastic in that applause clip and Chris certainly had a big beam on his face as he left the theatre. I'm hoping btw that crowds around the exits will dwindle as time goes on. If I was at the exit waiting for him I'd expect a one-to-one 😀Been thinking a lot recently about how much he must be enjoying this. If I had a pound for every time he's said 'I like scripts that read like plays' I'd be in a higher tax bracket. So basically he likes to do films which are more like plays. Of course, film allows you to let your creativity do things which you can't physically do on stage but it's the drama he likes. Plus, his love of acting sprang to life in Concord Youth Theatre. I was intrigued by his comment about theatre being something he didn't realise he needed. Had he begun to forget how much he enjoyed it? I think a lot of aspects of theatre work fit in well with his personality too. Being a movie star comes with a lot of excess baggage. I suppose the drawbacks could be that it's draining to do the same play every day for weeks or even months on end but I guess it's all swings and roundabouts. Anyway, can't wait for the next interview.

Watching that is one of the highlights of my long Chrisfan career! They must have rehearsed those bows. They were perfectly timed. My better half has just pointed out he's wearing a wedding ring. Trivia time - has he ever worn a wedding ring in any part he's ever done on film? Need to think but I think the answer is no.

No he's not worn one on screen before - in fact I can't think of any role in which his character is married - apart from the upcoming Red Sea Diving Resort. His bow looks a little awkward, but I guess with time he'll relax a bit. I really can't wait to see this!

You normally follow the lead actor with the bows, you can see Chris follows Cera's lead a bit. I was surprised though that they didn't do individual bows but maybe I'm just used to ballet I also must be the only one on the entire planet but I actually kinda hope the ring is actually his and he and Jenny just snuck off to Vegas or something.

I couldn't agree more, Bob. This is the most excited I've been since The First Avenger although all film releases are pretty exciting. This is something new and exciting. I agree that this is where Chris started and maybe he just needed to try it out again to remember to what extent he loves it and I'm sure he does. Often when he was talking about making Before We Go he made me think he really maybe at least partly belongs on the stage.
You know what, I think he's still in character. He seems to have that swagger he was talking about as he walks off stage.

NO! Please don't say that. As much as I want him to be happy, I don't think she's the answer! Anyway, that's a whole different thread, and I'm not going there.

I was surprised though that they didn't do individual bows but maybe I'm just used to ballet I always think the separate bows are a little bit competitive. You know, who gets the loudest cheer? Never thought about the fact he's never played a married man before. It's true. As he gets older those roles will be more common I guess. It IS exciting and Bob I'm up there in the teens with you. I hope the critics are kind. To be honest if you actually look at film critics over the years they have usually been kind to Chris even if they slated the film. This is a great move for his career though. Let's face it actors who do stage work as well as films command a lot of respect.

Depends on the size of the show I think. If there are definitive lead roles they usually do it, but this only has four so I get it.
