He no longer wishes to make more than one film per year.I hope that's just burn out talking after doing 3 movies and a play in a year's span. If it's a 5-6 month plus film like Marvel that also require months to train and promote that is very understandable. But I was hoping with a turn toward smaller movies he'd do more films. Overall a good interview if a bit back handed and superior in it's compliments and dismissal of his previous work. Also, he already knows how to tap. I agree. Overall a good interview and some thoughtful insights and a refreshing lack of superficial nonsense. I thought it was funny, in a nice way, how he was referred to as Mr Evans all the way through.

Not totally sure how 'official' or legit this account is but I thought I'd post it anyway.
If this is true then he'll miss about 5 performances that week which I presume his understudy will do.

I sent a message to The Second Stage theatre asking if it was correct that Chris would not be appearing that week and they answered saying it would be the original cast unless otherwise advertised on their site. I have since sent another message to ask whether or not the twitter account @lobby_Hero has any official blessing to give out information on their behalf. I'll let you know if they reply.

The way I read the tweet is in response to a particular date. I still think Chris would be able to do the Sunday and Tuesday shows, while going to LA for the IW premiere.

They've actually given 2 different answers telling one person he'll be back on the 28th and then another the 25th. I just have this nagging suspicion that it's a well meaning member of the public who actually doesn't know any more than we do. I'll see if I get an answer from 2ST.

I agree with capsbestgirl, it reads to me that they're saying he's still scheduled to appear those dates, not that those are the dates he'll return.
Sunday is a matinee showing and the theater is dark on Monday. The premiere no doubt was scheduled for a Monday to accommodate him. He has enough time to fly to LA on Sunday and be back for the Tues performance.

Just got this reply from Second Stage Theater. They seem to be doing a good job but people asking them questions need to realise they're not actually addressing people who have inside information.

Whilst I was in touch, I specifically asked if Chris would be missing any of the performances due to the IW premiere and got this reply. It seems to imply he won't be missing any but I think that one on the 24th is going to be a rush. America is so huge doesn't it take 5 hours or so to fly from LA to NY and isn't NY a few hours ahead?

Chris is used to crossing multiple time zones within the same day - and still working. He could leave right after the premiere and be back by early Tues morning, even with losing 3 hours to time zones. RDJ is I think flying in from London where he's filming Dr. Dolittle.

Or maybe Marvel will lend him a wee jet? The theatre just tweeted this which is a bit clearer.
