So is it usual for all tickets to sell out in 40 seconds for these things... YIKES... that was a huge eye opening experience... One browser refresh and everything was completely gone...

Hmm, monitoring is good and CDC is good but why, as someone with a shit immune system, is this reading like “money over people” to me? Sorry ACE! 🤦🏻♀️😥

Hmm, monitoring is good and CDC is good but why, as someone with a shit immune system, is this reading like “money over people” to me? Sorry ACE! 🤦🏻♀️😥 The non-refundable stance is bullshit especially for anyone with a medical condition. If the tickets are popular they can easily be re-sold almost 3 weeks out - if not then ACE over estimated the popularity of some packages/guests who they made deals with before even one ticket was sold. If people and organizations start pulling out (as they are at SWSX), or they institute a no touching or standing too close to a celebrity in photo ops then they're going to have bigger problems than just the medically vulnerable asking for re-funds.
It's not their fault and they've worked hard to get a lot of celebrities lined up but in the end the health of the attendees and the people they later come in contact with when they return home has to take precedence if the CDC changes their warnings.

Yup and that’s the problem. The whole US response to this has been nothing but a clusterfuck. And then you have people coming from all over and who knows. (I’m going to a WWE event next Monday - only to see my favorite whose like a unicorn appearance wise - and I’m over my cold but I’m still terrified even though there’s been no cases where I live). I’m sorry but in this instance I’d rather have everybody safe even if precautions are being taken (WrestleMania is similar - in scope fan wise in April and I gotta wonder if it’s gonna go as planned too). Hell they pulled Ana De Armas James Bond from April 10 to November 22. And that’s just a movie in a theater. And I understand that it’s not their fault and I know people paid money but with this entire thing if you don’t prioritize the well-being of your attendees, talent, and everyone else (given how serious this is) over money? It’s wrong and just plain bullshit.

They should cancel b/c not being able to touch or give gifts defeats the purpose for many - and unless you're standing 6 feet apart you're still too close for any one infected. And this only applies to interactions with celebs. Tens of thousands of people in attendance all rubbing against and breathing/coughing/sneezing on each other...

I just attended a Willie Nelson concert this week at the Houston Rodeo. It was probably 50k people there. There were hand sanitizer stations almost every 5 feet. I work in healthcare so I use good hand washing. I didn't feel like my health was at risk. However, I am not immune compromised. I believe these gatherings are doing their best to make sure everyone is safe including guests and celebrities. All these conventions have serious decisions to make. Either choose to continue and take precautions. Or take a hit financially. These conversations are big business. There is alot to consider. I'm neutral. In the end educate yourself and make the best decision for you. I love going to the rodeo and I had great tickets so watching Willie Nelson in probably his last big concert was worth it. I would risk it to see Chris too.
