For some reason the second photograph of him, in the short sleeve space dye tee, reminded me of an interview with him and Hemsworth. Which obviously I am now completely unable to find <_< Something Hemsworth was saying/joking about getting the brooding superhero look, adding layers to the character. ...You hate yourself, you're nothing, no you're great, everyone loves you and you've got a secret... LOL I appreciate that these print interviews lately have really latched on to the fact that The Evans is not just some vacuous, pretty boy actor. Bringing up the tweets from the past few months seems to definitely be a talking point that Chris appreciates, certainly over the "so what's your diet and exercise regime? do you work out alot?...can you drive? " He was a human being before he was an actor, he's entitled to an opinion. He's entitled to his outrage, fear, disappointment. Aren't we all? I do find it sweet with regards to the comments about Downey, who's had well publicised issues in the past and has evolved and changed as a human being, becoming almost a father figure to the Evans in this crazy Hollywood world. Stepping into the huge arena that Marvel offers it's not surprising that Chris struggled to go along with the idea of becoming (possibly) so much more famous and such a familiar face around the globe. Those interviews with him and Mckenna Grace are really quite telling about what Captain america has done for him In so many ways the opportunities that have arisen are so much greater surely than if he'd stuck by his initial gut reaction (of no) However being followed around everywhere by crowds of screaming "fans"...quite the trade off huh? I'm rambling again ^_^ Thank you for posting

First off some has tipped me off about some more HD scans of the Empire article. cevansnews.tumblr.com/post/160797692894/hd-scans-of-chris-evans-in-empire-magazine-summer Aargh!! This is driving me crazy. Every time I post a link I find that everything else I type after it comes out as a link too. The undo format button doesn't react. This is taking me ages!!!! Anyway, Jensai. You know me, I love a good ramble. I appreciate that these print interviews lately have really latched on to the fact that The Evans is not just some vacuous, pretty boy actor. Bringing up the tweets from the past few months seems to definitely be a talking point that Chris appreciates, certainly over the "so what's your diet and exercise regime? do you work out alot?...can you drive? "I agree. Mind you, if you cast your mind back to interviews with people like Josh Horowitz or Steve Weintraub he has always commanded their respect as an actor. In short, those interviewers who are cinema buffs first and journalists second have great respect for Chris and it's no coincidence that they have the best interviews. The junket interviews are by and large of a lower quality because a) the quality of the interviewers ranges from brilliant to abysmal. b) They are too short and repetitive. c) The actors are there to sell a product at the end of the day. The magazine interviews are hit and miss. Usually miss if the writer really wants to write about themselves not Chris. Chris also needs the supervision of a responsible adult before being allowed out with a journalist. ๐The pretty boy thing again. Here I go again, sorry. It used to irritate me but I've become really used to it now. I've been a bit pompous in the past but I accept now all fans are equal but different. I wrote about my Twitter experience last week. I'll revise that slightly. It is now clear that most posters are noticeably less interested in him as an artist than as a pretend boyfriend. I have been trawling the net looking for decent accounts to follow and have chosen the best I can find. Hundreds are utter drivel or are dormant. It may be true that Chris is one of the most tweeted about people in the history of tweets but I can tell you from experience a very, very small amount of it touches on him as an artist. Really, well over 90% is a variation of 'I love you'. It doesn't do his career any harm I guess - even if it makes his real life a bit more tricky. I'll say this though guys. If there is another Chris devoted site with contributions focussed on him as a fantastic actor and lovely person without objectifying him then I have yet to find it. I went through a bit of a sad phase for a while thinking that I/we were less useful as fans because he has so many now. I am out of that phase now and realise we still have a huge role in just getting people so see beyond his pretty blue eyes. Even some of his most devoted fans don't quite realise what a gem he really is. He'll be a gifted story teller long after his looks have faded. He was a human being before he was an actor, he's entitled to an opinion. He's entitled to his outrage, fear, disappointment. Aren't we all?I fully respect his right to tweet his thoughts. He's aware of the pitfalls. My biggest concern would be that the more he tweets about a certain kind of philosophy the more has to make sure he lives up to it himself. When you publicly make empathy for the downtrodden and compassion for the poor a cornerstone of who you are it is a wonderful thing and certainly one of the things that makes me love him as a person. However, his life is inevitably structured in such a way as to make it totally possible for him to live in a privileged bubble not just mentally cut off from the rest of us but actually separated physically too. Therein lie many possible traps and pitfalls. I do find it sweet with regards to the comments about Downey, who's had well publicised issues in the past and has evolved and changed as a human being, becoming almost a father figure to the Evans in this crazy Hollywood world. I just can't warm to RDJ but I really respect how he has reconstructed his life so incredibly successfully and Chris's attitude to him is testament to that. Stepping into the huge arena that Marvel offers it's not surprising that Chris struggled to go along with the idea of becoming (possibly) so much more famous and such a familiar face around the globe.
However being followed around everywhere by crowds of screaming "fans"...quite the trade off huh?Yeah, that's another one to stick on the 'chat over a beer' list of topics. He's spoken a lot about it but I suspect he still keeps a lot of it too himself. Jenny Slate's interview gave me pause for thought, she obviously struggled with it and when McKenna kept joking about him being followed by screaming crowds it kind of hits you a bit more. Some people even run whole websites following his career and writing about him!! Imagine that?! Freaks. ๐
