What kind of dog?
The best dog. I know!! I liked the bit about 'the thinker'. I've heard that before about the car. I swear to God I'm the same! I sometimes (don't tell anyone) have been known to pretend I'm tired and go for a nap but really I'm going to have a think!! I once overshot my turning on the M6 (a big highway going from north to south in England) by 15 miles simply because I was thinking!!

my years of professional lurking gave chances for a tony nomination as very low.
even had he been nominated, the cards are apparently saying andrew garfield for best lead and nathan lane for best featured (evans' only chance for nomination was for the latter, but cera got a nom instead, which is fair, given the size of the role) (i.e., the angels in america revival will sweep).

I take comfort in the fact that his name was even mentioned as a possible for a Tony. That's not a bad achievement especially as it's his first time out. Being nominated for your first role would have been a hell of a thing - an also a hard act to follow for next time!

Lane will win but a nomination would have been glorious and more than enough. Given the size of Cera's role he should have been in Lead not Featured. The Tony decision to have all four as featured because one name was not above the title was ridiculous. That Cera wasn't nominated for any of the precursors in any category and that on the whole his performance got decidedly less over all raves than Brian and Chris makes his nom very surprising. I figured Brian would be the one nom since he also got a Drama Desk nod but that there should be two and it's Cera and not Chris I'm going to chalk up a bit to newbie big Hollywood Star backlash. Even Variety didn't have Cera in the running and assumed it would be Brian and Chris fighting for that spot.
