This may be the most excited I've felt Chris-wise since I heard he'd been cast as Cap. This time next year. I could start saving but I don't suppose you'll be able to get tickets for love nor money!

as someone who used to live on the east coast and go up to NYC every once in awhile, if this is something you're interested in, i would plan far in advance and get tickets. you might have serious trouble even a month before, depending on how things pan out--a month before, there may be no tickets except the "premiums" ($400+, maybe even more if the show gets good reviews). particularly if chris "stagedoors" (i.e., signs playbills as he goes home each night), it will be a feeding frenzy from people who never go to broadway shows. as you might guess, don't be surprised that a plethora of his more charming twitter followers spy this as an opportunity to get close to "daddy" and nothing else.

Their ticket prices seem to be on the lower end for BWAY - even with the new Helen Hayes BWAY location since you can purchase a 5 show pack for $345 and the fine print says "Savings based on single ticket prices of $75 for a play and $80 for a musical (43rd Street), and $25-30 (Uptown)" with the Lobby Hero tickets being listed at $79.50 as part of the package. Non package tickets aren't available yet. They don't say where these seats are except "General Admission" but the Hayes theater isn't that big. (which also means the tickets will probably go fast since the show runs only a month) www.broadwayworld.com/seatingchart/Helen-Hayes-Theatre

this is great news!!! it's a good way also to step in a little into BWAY and then possibly try other plays and longer runs etc

I did go to NYC last year and even stood on THAT spot in front of the 'Good Morning America' theatre where once stood his greatness. I have the shoes I was wearing on display in a glass case (yes, I'm joking!) So I think if I said I was going back to watch Chris on stage my family would have me 'sectioned'. Or just kill me. Anyway, I'm sure the producers have thought of this as they've chosen two people from the cinema world likely to pull in big audiences but how do they have any control over who buys tickets? They can't. Although I suppose you can exclude the teenagers unless they've got indulgent parents. It would be embarrassing if every time Chris or indeed Cera came on stage there was a - how shall I put it? - an audible audience reaction - other than clapping. Or imagine if I really did go and found I was they only guy in the audience! Know that feeling well enough. This put me in mind of some thoughts that have been plodding around my head but probably belong in a different thread so ..

It's going to be sold out whatever happens. There'll be a lot of disappointed fans I fear so I hope it isn't packed out with swooners. I noticed something that Jenny Slate said in that interview, that she felt she was dating the most objectified person on the planet. That was food for thought.

i'm just saying that those affordable, halfway decent seats with good views will likely be gone a month before a showing. people shouldn't impromptu decide to go to the show and expect fair prices two weeks before. Between Chris, Lonergan and the re-opening of the Hayes theater they'll be gone long before that. It's also the smallest theater on Bway with about 600 seats. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house unless the renovation changes that.
